Storing: If melons are underripe and hard when purchased, let them stand at room temperature (away from sunlight) for a day or two. Store ripe melon in refrigerator crisper or drawer away from vegetables for up to 4 days.

Usage Tips: Wash melon thoroughly before cutting or slicing. Cut melon in half and remove seeds. Melons are great served as halves or wedges to eat as is or cut up the fruit and serve in salads. Always refrigerate any cut melons not consumed.

How to Select: Select a melon that has a creamy white rind with a slightly green to pale yellow color. Fruit should be large and weigh about 5 to 8 pounds. Select a honeydew with a distinct and pleasant aroma. Avoid melons with excessive bruises, dents or cracks.
